This type of needle bearings is used for space-constrained applications and need to withstand heavy loading.  Although they share similar cage design as KT-S and KV-S, their material is normally made from low carbon steel.  Typical applications for these bearings are for automotive and industrial mechanical gearbox/reducer drive.
